I. Installation Guide



This guide here does NOT include walker or any other optional links. Any links that are not needed in installing your files for L2World to play will be in the last section titled optional files.



If you get any virus or keylogger from an outside site, do not blame us. We try our best to make sure no link here contains any virus or keylogger. If you think a link contains one, please PM me so I can look into it.





Step 1



Download C4 client from one of the following mirrors below:

Do not just choose the first mirror. Another mirror maybe faster to you.

Please PM a GM if a mirror goes out.



Step 2



Download the L2W Updater from the following link:

Step 3



Open up L2WUpdate.zip and move L2WUpdate.exe to your desktop.





Step 4



Once L2WUpdate.exe is on your desktop, right click on it and select cut.





Step 5



Now go to your Lineage II main directory and right click and select paste.





Step 6



Now open up L2WUpdate.exe. You should see the updater on your screen. On this screen, select a mirror to update your game. Once you choose, hit the update button.





While waiting, please vote.



Step 7



When done updating, you will get a window like this:







You can choose to play now or exit, your choice.



That's it! You've successfully set your computer up to play here at L2World. Thanks for choosing us. We hope you enjoy your time.



Note: You do NOT have to run the updater everytime you want to play l2. Just go into your system folder of Lineage 2 and make a shortcut.





I would also suggest doing the same to L2WUpdate.exe so you have easy access.



Note #2: If you get an error similar to this:



Code: History: FL2GameData::ObsceneDataLoad <- FL2GameData::Load() <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine



Go to your Lineage II system folder and delete obscene-e.dat. That will fix that issue.

II. Account Creation Guide



Please read this carefully before you ask a GM any questions.



Step 1



Go to the Lineage2World main page and hit the big master account login and registration button.







You will get a screen that looks like this:







Click on register new master account to begin.



Step 2



Once you click on that link, it will show this:







Fill all information accordingly.







Note: As you can see from this screen shot, all information is entered. It may take you a few tries for the image verification but it does and it is cap sensitive. For your security questions and answer, do NOT use any punctuation. If you do, it will not let you register. Use your REAL email address. If you don't, you will not be able to make your account. I repeat, USE YOUR REAL EMAIL ADDRESS.



Once you enter everything, hit register new master account.



Step 3



After you hit that, you will get a page saying check your email for verification. This is why I said to use your real email address. Now go to wherever you sent it to. I used yahoo. You should see an email like this:







Note: If you do not see it in your inbox, please check your spam folder. People have already said that it's going in their spam folder. It may take a few minutes for you to get it depending on your mail provider.



Ok so now you have the email. Open it up and this is what it will look like this:







Click the link to activate your master account. You will then get a new window that contains something like this:







I whited out my username and password for obvious reasons of course. Anyway, congrats! You now have your master account. This account will manage all of your game accounts.



Step 4



Now click the link saying return to login screen.



Enter your information and hit submit.



Once you hit submit, you will see this:







Hit the register new game account button.



Step 5



Now you will get a screen that shows this:







Hmm, this looks familiar. Anyway, fill it out similar to this:







Of course your information won't be like mine though.



Reminder: Again, you MUST enter a REAL email address. No punctuation in your questions or answer. Remember that the image is case sensitive.

Once completed, hit create new game account.



You will see this:







Now go to your email you entered.

Ok now open it.







You will see this. Obviously I whited out my game account again. You will see yours of course. Be sure to write down this information somewhere. This account information is how you login the game.







Ok you're set. You now have your first account. You can make as many game accounts as you want on one master account.

III. Guides to Quests

A. Fate's Whisper

Upon hitting 75 you can begin the series of quests to add a subclass to your character. The most tedious being this one, Fate's Whisper.











1.) The quest begins with Maestro Reorin who is found east of Oren Castle Town. You'll be back here many times so remember the location.

















He will ask you to free his wife Reiria by slaying Shilen's Messenger Cabrio and get back her soul orb.



2.) Shilen's Messenger Cabrio is located north east of the cemetery. A box will spawn out after it dies, you will receive Reiria's soul orb by opening it.



You don't have to hit Cabrio, nor do you have to be in the party that kills it. Just get to the box quickly because it doesn't stay around long.















3.) Take the soul orb back to Maestro Reorin, he will ask you to go Tower of Insolence to kill 3 Raid Bosses to get 3 Infernium Scepters.







A box will spawn out after Raid Boss dies, you will receive Infernium Scepters by opening it and clicking Quest. Again, you don't have to hit the boss or be



in party. Just bring a stack of patience to wait out the spawn times.

4.) Return the Infernium Scepters to Maestro Reorin, he will ask you head to Town of Oren to look for Warehouse Freight man Cliff to get Infernium Varnish.











Warehouse Freight man Cliff is locates at middle of Town of Oren. He will give you the varnish.



















5. Return Infernium Varnish to Maestro Reorin, he will ask you to make a trip to Town of Aden meet Head Blacksmith Ferris to get his Hammer in order to make



A grade weapon.











Head Blacksmith Ferris is locates at east side of Aden.











6.) Return Maestro Reorin’s Hammer, now he needs his Mold from Trader Zenkin in Oren.







Trader Zenkin says he sold the Mold to Master Kaspar at Hardins Private Academy.















7.) You can port right there from Giran, Hunters Village. Master Kaspar says in order to get the Mold, you will need to get Baium’s blood by using the



Pipette Knife that Master Kaspar gives you. To enter Baium's room, you need to get Blooded Fabric from



An Arrogant Search quest. He sends you off to find Hanellin in Aden town to



start this quest. See the other guide to continue that quest.























8. After you have a bloodied fabric in quest inventory, it's time for Baium, lucky you. Baium spawns once every 5 days, and from my experiance of having



waited for him 5 times, he spawns anywhere from 5 days exactly from last death, to up to 8 hours later. Before you go anywhere find out from someone when he



last died. Then be prepared to camp the Angel Vortex on TOI 13th floor for hours upon end. Once he spawns, when a player ports in, the minute they wake up



Baium NO ONE ELSE CAN PORT IN. You also cannot port in until he spawns, so no porting in and just hanging out. You can't drop in on a wyvern either. I asked.



If for some bizarre reason he spawns and there aren't hordes of people already waiting for him, you could go in with a friend, have the friend wake up him



and you wack him with the knife. I say a friend because chances are Baium will instantly kill whoever wakes him up. I heard it's 100% chance of death but



some people say that's not true. However you'd feel dumb if he one shotted you with no back up plan right?







Once you hit him you earn a Red Pipette Knife







9. Return to Master Kaspar and exchange for the Mold.







10. To finish the quest you will need a Top B grade weapon (from the list below) and 984, B grade crystals and return the Mold to Maestro Reorin. You will



get to choose a low A grade weapon to trade up to, and receive the Star of Destiny final quest item. The list of A weapons to choose from is listed below.

B. Mirmir's Elixir

Before you start the quest:

- You must be level 75.

- You must have finished the Fate's Whisper (A Grade Weapon) quest in order to start your path to a subclass.



This quest involves doing two different quests. Mimir's Elixir quest is the main quest, but in order to finish it you need to also have the Supplier of Reageants quest (A grade armor recipe/mat quest) registered.



1. Talk to Magister Ladd at 4th floor of Ivory Tower

Ladd tells you to bring him Pure Silver, which can only be gotten through the other quest - Supplier of Reageants.



2. Talk to Supplier Wesley at basment of Ivory Tower

He will give you the Supplier of Reageants quest which is needed to get the quest items. Once you've got this quest, you can talk to the Cauldron located in the basement and see various things you can make by combining quest items.

The only formulas you need to know from this list are:

10 Moonstone shards + 1 Volcano Ash = 1 Moondust

10 Moondust + 1 Quick Silver = 1 Lunagent

1 Lunagent + 1 Quick Silver = 1 Pure Silver



3. Hunt Halate's Maids and Hames Orc Shaman

Collect:

100 Moonstone Shards from Halate's Maids on 3rd floor of Toi

10 Volcano ashes from Hames Orc Shaman in Blazing Swamps

2 Quick Silver. Quick Silver drops from both Halate's Maids and Hames Orc Shamans



4. Bring back the collected items to Ivory Tower

Once you've collected all items, go back to the Cauldron in IT and combine them according to the formulae to get Pure Silver. You can gamble a bit on the lesser reagents and select a high temperature to get more than one. Choose 1 degree to be safe and not risk failure.

However, you must choose 1 degree when making the Pure Silver. This is specified in the quest.



5. Bring the Pure Silver to Ladd on 4th floor of IT.

He will tell you he needs True Gold.



6. Talk to Magister Joann on 3rd floor IT.

She will ask you to go to Field of Silence to hunt Chimera Piece to get a Stone of Wisdom.



7. Hunt Chimera Piece under Giant's Cave in Field of Silence

The drop is determined by most damage done. The mob is easy so even healer classes shouldn't have a problem soloing it. Once you've got the Stone of Wisdom go back to IT.



8. Talk to Magister Joann in IT again.

Give her the stone. Get the True Gold.



9. Talk to Ladd at 4th floor IT

Give him the True Gold.



10. Hunt Bloody Guardians

Hunt bloody guardians in DVC for a Blood Fire. These drop to whoever gets last hit.



11. Back to IT

Now combine Pure Silver and True Gold together with the Blood Fire in the Cauldron in IT basement to get Mimir's Elixir.

Use 3rd degree to combine.

(There's been rumours that this has a chance of failing but I've yet to hear of anyone actually failing. So no worries.)



12. Bring Mimir's Elixir to Ladd

Once you've talked to Ladd the elixir should disappear from the inventory and the quest will be completed.

You will get an A grade weapon enchant as a bonus.

(Don't try to use the elixir as it may bug out the quest.)



Training your Subclass

You now have earned the right to train 1 subclass. Talk to the blacksmith, Grand Master, Grand magister... etc.. depending on the class you want to train.

(For example if you want to sub Gladiator you would talk to the Grand Master at human trainers.)

Same logic applies if you want to switch back to your main class. You would go talk to the Grand Master that applies to your main class.



Restrictions:

Keep in mind the restrictions in choosing your subclass

1. Elves and Dark Elves cannot choose each others' classes as subclass

2. You can't choose Overlord or Warsmith

3. A similar class cannot be chosen for a subclass. Similar groups of classes are

- Treasure Hunter, Plain Walker, Abyss Walker

- Hawkeye, Silver Ranger, Phantom Ranger

- Paladin, Dark Avenger, Temple Knight, Shillien Knight

- Warlock, Elemental Summoner, Phantom Summoner

- Sorcerer, Spell Singer, Spell Howler



To view what subclasses are available for your class, you should go to the Official Site's Available Subclass Tool



Other Notes:

1. You can't change the subclass you've chosen.

2. Once your subclass is lvl75 you can do Mimir's Elixir quest again to train another.

3. You can choose up to 2 subclasses.

4. Beware of changes in weight capacity when you switch to your subclass.

5. All buffs disappear when you switch to subclass.

6. The sin eater quest disappears when you switch classes.

VIII. Walker Information



This section will help you get Walker setup and crafting help.



Step 1: Once you download the walker, extract the L2Walker folder where ever you choose.



Step 2: Place the host file in Windows\system32\drivers\etc



Step 3: Load up patcher.exe as shown below and make sure at least the following 2 are checked: party buff fix & packet process (never check the green token box)





Step 4: Hit load. Once walker connects to the server, you shouldn't have to keep patcher.exe open.



Alright you SHOULD be able to run walker with NO problems now.



Now for crafting guide. Walker now supports multi-crafting without scripts so it makes it that much better. I hope this helps you.



Once you login, bring up your skills window like so:







Dwarven Craft is specially for Dwarves as Common Craft is...well for everyone (hint why it's called common ). You will know you have selected it when it says

"Use xxx craft lvl x". Once you choose the book, go to setup then option like below:







Once that option opens up, there's a button in the middle top of the option window called, "other setting". Select that.







Now you see this new menu and the first section is labeled auto make item. This is where we will be configuring our walker to make items. Now depending the book you selected will show which recipes are available to craft. The first box is for all of the ones you have chosen to craft as well as details. I'll get more into that box in a minute. The second box is where you configure it to start making the items. Choose your desired settings for weight, mp, delay, etc. Then from the drop down menu, select your recipe. Hit add. Your recipe will now appear in the first box when you choose the menu.







Now as I was mentioning before, the first box is where all of your recipes and configurations for what you just made is shown. Why they did this backwards, I have no clue. Anyway, if you want to remove a recipe, select it from the menu and hit delete.







Once you're ready, check the first check box and viola! Your crafter (whichever class it maybe since any class can craft now. ) can and will start crafting. I hope this helps.

IX. L2World FAQs



Q: I've installed but when I go to load the game I get the following error:



General protection fault!



History: FL2GameData::ObsceneDataLoad <- FL2GameData::Load() <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine





A: Delete the obscene-e.dat file from your system folder



Q: Can we enchant our skills?



A: Yes you can but only after you have completed the third class transfer. As of 2 days ago however there was a glitch where you could no longer enchant your skills if you are level 79 or 80. So I would suggest waiting until level 78 and then doing all of your enchantments. Again you can find more information here.



Q: When I'm updating, I get a runtime error! (picture below) Help!







A: Well first thing you need to do is if it's blocking what you were downloading, you need to move it. What I mean by this is move the little crash message that came up and see which file it was on. Go to that file in your Lineage II folder. Delete this file. If this file is obscene-e-gay.dat by chance, download it from the following link . Place it in the system folder and try to update again. You shouldn't get an error this time.
